January 11 – Jerry and Diane will be teaching basic and/or intermediate West Coast Swing at 6:45. And later in the evening, we’ll no doubt get to practice “The Wobble” line dance. Diane and Jerry are also the DJ’s.
January 18 – Same as above except that Tom Stoiber will play the tunes for us.
January 25 – More West Coast lessons at 6:45 and Dennis Tuday is in charge of the music for the evening.

December 7 - No lessons this month due to the holidays, unless Elaine decides to teach “The Wobble”. Stay tuned for that. Annie is our DJ this evening. Don’t forget to sign up for next week’s Holiday Ball no later Dec. 9. This is a fantastic event and is FREE for all current DBB members. It includes a full course buffet dinner, dancing on an 1800 sq. ft. dance floor until 11:00 p.m., prizes and more!
December 14 – This is it – our biggest event of the year – the Holiday Ball at the Plaza Resort at 600 N. Atlantic Ave. We’ll have a cocktail/mix & mingle hour from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with special drink prices and dinner will begin at 7:30. If you’ve signed up and find can’t make it for some reason, please let either Elaine (egss@mindspring.com) or Diane (diane22@cfl.rr.com) know as soon as you can, otherwise the club still has to pay for your dinner.
December 21 – Why not come and dance with us and work off some of those Christmas goodies you’ve been eating? Dennis will be our DJ.
December 28 – Our last dance of 2011! Come and celebrate a year of great dancing with us. Jerry & Diane will be the DJ’s.
Sorry readers, the club’s website updater has been super busy lately and I’m late with getting the Nov. Happenings posted. Anyway, here’s what’s up for the rest of the month:
November 9 – Free West Coast lesson with Diane & Jerry at 6:45. They’ll be playing your favorite Bop, Swing, Beach and West Coast music too starting at 7:30. Don’t forget to bring your (unexpired) canned goods and other non-perishables to donate to our annual food drive for Halifax Urban Ministries.
November 16 - Another Free West Coast lesson with Diane & Jerry at 6:45. Tom Stoiber is our esteemed DJ for the evening. Also, don’t forget to sign up for our Holiday Ball, which will again be held at The Plaza Resort on December 14 at 6:30 p.m. If you’re a current DBB member, this event is FREE. If not, the cost is $50, but either way, you have to sign up to attend. If you can’t make it to a dance to sign-up between now and then, you can email Elaine at egss@mindspring.com or Diane at diane22@cfl.rr.com.
November 23 – No lesson this week but we ALWAYS have a good crowd so come out and dance with us on Thanksgiving eve. Please join us and work off some of those calories before you consume them! Dennis will be manning the DJ booth.
November 30 – One final West Coast lesson with Diane & Jerry at 6:45. After this, they’ll take a break till next year so come out and learn one last WC step! Hopefully, K-Mac (Kevin McDeed) will be back to spin some tunes for us!
October 12 - Free West Coast lesson with Diane & Jerry at 6:45. Please be there on time so you don’t miss anything. Even if you’re an experienced West Coaster, there is always something new you can learn and add to your repertoire of moves to look even cooler, so please come out and help support the beginners as well. Tom is DJ’ing this week instead of next.
October 19 - Another FREE West Coast lesson with Diane & Jerry. If you want to get your BOOGIE on, join them at 6:45. They will also be spinning the tunes starting at 7:30. Don’t forget, this is the last date you can join the Daytona Beach Boppers and attend our annual Holiday Ball at the Plaza Hotel for FREE. After tonight, you’ll have to wait til next year to join the club.
October 26 - No lesson tonight because……… it’s SWING-TOBERFEST! We’ll be celebrating all things October, like Bike Week, Octoberfest and Halloween, all in one. So wear something unique to commemorate something. And of course, we’ll be serving sausage & sauerkraut at 7:45, so don’t be late! Members pay only $3 and non-members will pay $10 at the door.
September 14 – Free West Coast lesson with Diane & Jerry at 6:45. If you’re ready to put some boogie in your steps and get on the road to looking COOL, this is the class for you. Diane will also show the ladies how to lead a “hijack” move. Jerry and Di will start the dance music at 7:30.
September 21 - More free West Coast with Diane & Jerry. Who knows what Jerry will come up with this week, but it’s sure to be worth your while so be there at 6:45 and find out! Tom Stoiber will once again be in the house playing the tunes.
September 28 – Free West Coast lesson at 6:45 with Jerry & Diane. If you came to the first two lessons, you’ll be ready to learn a really cool, new move that Jerry & Di learned at River City Swing – so get out tonight and get your DANCE on! Dennis Tuday will be in the DJ booth (except when he’s busy dancing, of course)
